Memorial Pools Piping Upgrade

Bishops were preferred by Bay Venues to partner with various Contractors to upgrade the piping to the pools in the 60 year old Memorial complex.

This involved specialised civil works to:

- Replace all the old cast iron inlet piping with new pressure piping by thrusting and directional drilling

- Install full inlet risers and construct new sumps

- Waterproofing and specialised concrete admixtures along with hydrophilic sealant installation to control hydrostatic tidal pressure.

The shutdown was restricted to 7 weeks, in order to have the pool complex open in time for the season.
