Bishops have had an opportunity to be involved in the construction of many of the PowerStation’s built in New Zealand over the last two decades. Our work has included grouting, concrete repair and foundation construction for mechanical equipment. Our customers include Contact Energy, Mercury (formally Mighty River Power), Trust Power, Sumitomo Corporation and Fuji Electric, Toshiba, Ormat Technologies. Some of the iconic Power stations we have had the privilege to work on include Te Mihi geothermal, Nga Tamariki, Nga Awa Purua and more recently the Tauhara geothermal power station. The later boasts the largest single shaft geothermal generator in the world and we had the great pleasure of working directly with Fuji Electric who commissioned Bishops to grout the turbines and generator and all of the other major pieces of mechanical equipment.
